While there were new arrivals at the PECLM, I decided to go check out them.

The Porsche RS Spyder is a prototype built in 2005 to compete in the LMP2 category in ALMS and at Le Mans. This one (#9R6) is one of the two factory cars ran by Penske Motorsport (Porsche).

Sometimes, this LMP2 car was faster than LMP1 cars as it won the 2008 Sebring 12 Hours.

Penske never raced an RS Spyder at Le Mans. In 2008, the RS Spyder dominated the LMP2 category against pescarolo. 1st and 2nd with the Van Merksteijn and the Essex team. In 2009, the Essex team won the LMP2 category in the Sarthe.

PORSCHE 911 RSR #WP0ZZZ99ZJS199906 / GOLD

This car is a real sound monster. 146dB ear killer!

This RSR was leading the 2019 Le Mans 24Hours GTE-Pro class but something happened...

Driven by Laurens Vanthoor, Michael Christensen and Kevin Estre, this car (not the same chassis) under the #92 number won the GTE-Pro class. This crew wanted to renew that victory in 2019...

They were leading the category during the night but the car broke one of its exhausts. So the #51 Ferrari took the lead and won while the #92 was 7th.

With this 7th place, the #92 crew gained enough points to win the Championship

before the last races of the season.

Unfortunately, the ESTRE-CHRISTENSEN-VANTHOOR squad never renewed their 2018 Le Mans victory and their 2019 WEC title.
